This is a watercolor of my sourdough bread. 🍞 I’ve been making my own artisan loaf every week for a month now and it’s easier than I thought (and delicious!). What I love about sourdough is that the starter has been shared by a friend and her starter was shared by a friend… and it goes on and on over decades! Plus the starter eats gluten so it’s easier to digest. But the best thing is that it reminds me of Jesus saying “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35). He’s talking about a worldly hunger and thirst for things that never satisfy. That hole is filled with God’s love and that’s contentment. ❤️
