Variety is the spice of life...

Well, my life never lacks variety I can tell you that much! This is the first time I've illustrated a whole book and drawing characters over and over again is different from what I've done in the past, but I still love it! For the 7th spread, I decided to make the people at the bus stop be people and not cats so it was fun to do that for a change! I also took a little break to make a business card for my neighbor in Rock Hall, Maryland who owns a shop on Main Street, using her painted sign as the logo (created in Photoshop).

Halfway there!

I feel like celebrating a little because I'm now halfway done with the spreads for this book!!! It's typical of me to start a million projects and never finish them, but with this book I've learned to fully focus on completing my pages and my Book Map has helped tremendously with that! You know-- make a plan and then work the plan! I do need to do another clip art set or something for my etsy store. I actually have some good reviews on that which made my day! My favorite thing about creating is when it makes someone else happy. I have to admit, though, that this book is really making me happy...
